The main strategic issues are:
• customer services;
• increased production capacity;
• bulk water protection;
• funding of investment programs;
• effectiveness of management;
• relations with the Mayor (owner) and other stakeholders;
and
• water treatment.
Performance indicators are required to measure progress
in the above areas, and form the basis of the preparation
of the multi-year investment plan.
Targets for the next five years include:
• Increase the number of customers in the existing
service area; and
• improve the organization and its marketing skills.
The Corporate Plan for 2002–2006
consists of:
• a program for the Technical and Operational
Department
• a program for the Department of Finances and
Marketing
• a program for the Department of Management and
Organization
• a program for the Department of Human Resource
Development
• a program to improve customer relations; and
• a program for the Department of Legal Affairs.
